Hi,    You mean the user can click on a particular item on the datagird and at 
the time of the click the current system time should be fetched and saved. If 
this is the case then why do you need a timer control? On the click event you 
can simply get the System.DateTime.Now and store it in a hidden page variable. 
On Submitting the page you can access the value in the variable and save it in 
the database.  Tell me if this helps or is there somthing else you want which i 
am not able to figure out ?   Mkh.
