In short, i'll have a text box and a list box. As and When the user starts typing the characters, i want the list box with the related words in the list box. My table has a field "empName", if the user starts typing "s", all the names with "s" should be available in my list box from the table. Next if the user types "i", all the names starting with "si" should be seen in the list box. I'm tying to write a KeyUp event for this purpose. But my question is, "do i have to connect the database on every key stroke and fetch a Data and bind this to List box? i mean every time?" Is there any better way to perform this?
