----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: shri Message 2 in Discussion Hi, Maintaining view state was a problem in the classic ASP world; this problem doesn't exist anymore in ASP.NET. ViewState, by defualt is enabled and gets stored in the hidden variable. The ViewState indicates the status of the page when submitted to the server. The status is defined in a a hidden field placed on each page with a <form runat="server"> control. You can also disable the viewstate, if required by including the directive <%@ Page EnableViewState="false" %> at the top of an .aspx page. Hope this helps you. Regards, Shri (Shrinath Inamdar) ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
