Yup.. it is possible in ASP.NET with the help of Context Handler.    
In Page1.aspx.cs 
public string Facility 
{get{return dropFacility.SelectedItem.Value; }} 
In Page2.aspx.cs 
private void  Page_load(object sender, EventArgs e) 
{Page1 objTest; 
if(! IsPostBack) 
{  objTest = (Page1) Context.Handler; 
    ViewState["Facility"] = objTest.Facility // see here "Facility" fetches 
from Page1.aspx.cs
