----------------------------------------------------------- From: BanwariLal Message 2 in Discussion Hello Gopal, Your doubt is very genuine. You r using relative measurements and unfortunately u haven't provided parameters of the parent i.e table. So based on some assumptions, replying :) CSS uses so many measurement techniques. One of them is '%' or relative measurements. See whenever u r trying to assign relative parameters, u will be needing some base. In ur case, u r trying to assign widths in %. First td is getting 60% and second one 40% or REST 40%!!!. But my friend it is taking 60%/40% of some value, whats that??? have u defined some width of table i.e. 100% or 500px? if not try assigning that. And yes once u have assigned 60% to first cell, and if there are only 2 cells, u need not assigning any width to the second one. Hope this helps, if not try posting more code (complete table). with best regards, -- Banwari Lal Sharma, Software Developer, Veracious Solutions Pvt.
