----------------------------------------------------------- From: Jigs Message 1 in Discussion First Step:: Well if anyone of you have never tried this before here is a hit for you to start with. >From within SQL Server 2000 Query Analyzer there is an option called "Show Execution Plan" (located on the Query drop-down menu). If you turn this on, then whenever you run a query in Query Analyzer, you will get a query execution plan (in graphical format) displayed in a separate window. If you want to see an execution plan, but you don't want to run the query. Write the query and press Ctrl-L if you see things like table-scan , sort consider them as warning signals.
