Eg for the dataset -datatable "Students" if u want to display the Student Name in the combobox and get the RollNum when a student name is selected .Then the code will be cmbStudent.DataSource=ds.Tables[0]; cmbStudent.DataTextField="StudentName" ; //Coulmn name in the database cmbStudent.DataValueField="RollNum"; //Coulmn name in the database Hope this one helps..
