----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Mrinal Message 2 in Discussion Hi , There could be many ways for you to check that , including File class in system.IO if file is on a local drive , beacuse in any case if file doesn't exists it can be caught in FileNotFoundException . For any other remote location try executing download code and if it fails it will be caught in above mentioned exception ad you can handle it appropriately . Otherwise another way could be to use Publisher - Subscriber model and take a Asynchronous call to the location to check file's existence and moment a new file comes in or gets created it will notify the client , so in that case you need to go the first way of handling exception . Simple delegates can be used to implement asynchronous handling mechanism . hope this helps , Mrinal . ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
