Hi ,

In addition to what shagun has mentioned

Check web.config file too. If impersonation is enabled with 
userName/Password , then the aspnet runtime will access the resources on 
behalf of the impersonated user. So this user also requires the write 
permission on that folder.

If impersonation is not enabled , then runtime runs under aspnet(IIs5.0)/ 
user. So aspnet user requires permission on that folder.
