Microsoft has taken a step beyond normal cryptography... and encrypted the 
session id into a 120 bit pseudo which can either be transferred through a 
cookie and for more security it can also be passed as a jumbled code in the 
url.   If we got to know the algorithm to create the same session id, thn 
probably the hackers would have reversed it long before.   The session ids are 
of 36 digits ie., a random number series around [2^120], even if 1 lakh users 
are accessing your site and the probability of repetition is 0.005%, where that 
case is replaced by the next value.   the session ids are created in a way that 
the last 8 bit of the id is taken by the .net framework to identify a 
particular session in the session bag.   thanks and regards, uvaraj.
