Hi

We are in the inception phase of architecting a .NET based multi tier
application. Due to the .NET technology advancements, we have decided to go
with .NET 2.0 beta 2 for development. One of the objectives is to implement
SOA.Based on initial analysis, it has been decided (subject to change) to
use web services as the communication channel.

Since, Indigo would target the next generation SOA, we are not clear on what
will be available in .NET 2.0 to make use of Indigo features. Although,
Microsoft is planning Indigo as part of Vista, it appears that this will be
available as download for Win XP and Win 2003. This is confusing as we are
not clear on what is that we should implement with .NET 2.0 for SOA (Web
Services or Indigo).

Following are the questions that we have:

* Is there a way to make use of Indigo features with .NET 2.0 and Win 2003?
* If the answer to the above question is NO, Is there any design

consideration to adopt with Indigo in future?

I would appreciate some advice and relevant links if possible.

Thanks,
Arabinda
