----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: sumanmukherjee Message 1 in Discussion Hi All, I am in a massive fix. We have been working on a massive travel portal and the launch is due this week. When we uploaded the project to one of the leading hosting services of europe , we were surprised to find that done of the custom dll calls were working . Only the dll of the project was working correctly. We have basically 2 .NET dlls, 1. ASP tree view bought from http://obout.com 2. our own component that handles HSBC payment gateway. When ever a call to any of the methods of dll takes place we get System.Security exception. Pls note that there are no COM dlls. When we wrote to the support they came back with a response ************************************************************************** >Thank you for contacting us. >Unfortunately you cannot use the interop layer on our Windows Shared >servers, due to the security problems inherent in being able to call native >>win32 code. This is usually only permitted for fully trusted code in .NET. >The setup for .NET on our shared servers most closely matches the standard >'medium trust' settings with a few exceptions. If you have any further >questions please do not hesitate to contact us. ************************************************************************** Can you pls tell me what i need to do and where to make my 1. HSBC processing dll a fully trusted code 2. 3rd Party dll of ASP treeview a 'medium trust' settings I am all in sea and need your help very urgently. Thanks in advance.
