Hi Sudhir,

   In local system its working means u are hosting the site in local.
when u are in network first u have to copy the selected file with in the 
server mean in ur system.
(where the site is hosted..)

then only u can read the file.


<input type="file1" runat=server>
after selecting the spe.file u have to use file1.saveas("\\virtual 
directory\files\1.txt")

Then u can use that....


i think it will work.
