Stephen:        The Response.Redirect and Server.Transfer methods of the Page 
object assume that the request to the .aspx was made by the browser, either 
through an HTTP GET or POST. A Response.Redirect actually passes back an HTTP 
code (3xx) to the requestor, informing it where the resource can be found. The 
browser is then required to make the subsequent request. When executing a 
Server.Transfer, the server makes a request for the new resource and passes 
back the result to the original caller. AJAX callback is typically initiated by 
the XmlHttpRequest object and not the browser through the typical mechanisms. 
To achieve the same functionality, you may utilize client-side location
