----------------------------------------------------------- From: shahkalpesh Message 2 in Discussion Hi Govind, I assume that you want a "open file dialog" to appear - when user wishes to edit the "FilePath" property of your usercontrol in design time. If yes, do the following. In your usercontrol project 1) Add a refrence to system.drawing.dll (using project -> add reference) 2) in your usercontrol.cs (the control) file, add using System.Windows.Forms.Design; 3) Attach the following attribute to your "FilePath" property - along with rest of the attributes c# - Editor(typeof(FileNameEditor), typeof(UITypeEditor)) VB.NET - EditorType(GetType(FileNameEditor), GetType(UITypeEditor)) 4) Build your controls project & try using the control in another project 5) try to edit the properties using Properties window Hope this helps Kalpesh ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
