Most of what lakshmi has said should work, except for the part at the end. You 
CANNOT exec a dynamic sql string inside an UDF. You cannot even use 
"sp_executesql" inside the UDF. (You can use only extended SPs and 
sp_executesql is not an extended SP. Extended SPs start with XP_ )   What you 
can do is construct a dynamic sql inside the UDF as lakshmi has suggested, and 
return it back to your calling stored proc and exec it there.   Alternatively 
you can use a stored proc instead of the UDF and do whatever lakshmi has said. 
It shouldn't give u any issues.
