Suppose u have SP CREATE PROCEDURE DeleteAuthor
(
@au_id varchar(11)
)
AS DELETE FROM authors where [EMAIL PROTECTED]
In The Data Access Layer perform following
string conn = "data source=(local);initial catalog=northwind;user
id=sa;pwd=sa;";
string sp = "InsertEmp";
SqlConnection sqlconn = new SqlConnection(conn);
sqlconn.Open();
SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(sp,sqlconn);
cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure;
SqlParameter prm = new SqlParameter();
prm = cmd.Parameters.Add("@au_id",SqlDbType.VarChar,11);
prm.Direction = ParameterDirection.Input;
prm.Value = ""; // Pass this value from UI to Business Layer and capture it
here
try
{
cmd.ExecuteNonQuery();
}
3) U can make the call to Data acess layer from the Business Logic Layer and
pass the value as parameter.
4) U can also keep the connection string in the web.config file as key value
pair instead of keeping as in the example above.

Regards
Ambuj
