----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: bignbullish Message 7 in Discussion Another thing you must consider should be MSMQ. It is common knowledge that the reads/writes to MSMQ is faster and more efficient than DB. So the answers could be pushed in as messages into MSMQ and on ASP.NET Session_End, trigger a process to pick the relevant messages and update the database. You may also consider a load balancing service (windows service) which could choose from the MSMQs installed on both the App Server and the DB server so as to split the load across your available servers. The ASP.NET app will talk to this service only. This service may also take responsibility to commit the messages into the DB when instructed by the ASP.NET app. However, these are not quick-fix solutions. - Raghu (bignbullish) ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
