You can change it to IIS by selecting Project Properties->Web Tab. There you can create the virtual directory too. The error must be specifying some port. Use some tools like TcpView from Sysinternals (http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/TcpView.html) to check that port is used by some other process. Normally development server will take the free port while running the application. HTH. Hi Suraj, Thanks for your reply. I am facing a problem, When i create a web application it is not creating a virtual directory in IIS and is not configuring by default for .net 2.0. It is giving an error information like "development server failed to start listening on port, Only one usage of each socket address is permitted " Q) Are we need to do any work around to resolve the problem? If i create Virtual directory manually and configuring for asp.net 2.0 explicitly, and reloading the project again it is working fine. Can u please help me to solve the above.
