Role based authentications is enabled in the project and there settings are provided in the database table(Which role can access which page-this need to be stored in DB bcoz admin may change the access rights of various roles frequently). v have to make the menu items disable or hide items based on role of the user logged in by traversing thru each of the menuitems given when an user is authenticated intailly. Is there any method there for disable/hide items based on the roles other than using site map attribute 'roles'.
