----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Atanu-P Message 1 in Discussion Hi, Below is what I m doin... 1. Create a table having 2 columns in SQLServer 2005, a. 1st Column : FirstName(varchar(100)) DefalutValue = Null b. 2nd Column : ModifiedDate(datetime) DefaultValue = getdate() 2. Eneter a record and the value in the ModifiedDate column comes up automatically. 3. Now when I select the record using a select the values for the "ModifiedDate" column comes as "2007-04-04 22:21:57.997" but in the management studio in the open table view it shows up as "4/04/2007 10:21:57 PM". 4. If I load the record in a dataset it loads as "4/04/2007 10:21:57 PM" and when I try to compare this value with the one in database it returns false as in the above value millisecond part of the value is trimmed off. 5. so, this way the ModifiedDate claumn values are nt matching as the getdate() stores it with millisecond value but a sql statement returns in a diffrent format after trimming off the millisecond value.
