----------------------------------------------------------- From: MohangandhiC Message 5 in Discussion Hi, Since you just need to display and you are going to display in single stretch all the details. Definitely go for single store procedure. Join the tables and get whatever data u want to display. Select only the required columns while writing SQL statements (dont give select * ). And depends on the amount of data you have in your database u can think of creating View with all your joins and make it as indexed view by creating index on views. Have proper index on the columns which are used in "where" conditions. Creating multiple SPs and making multiple DB calls from the application is very costlier than having single SP with joins. DB operations are so light weight in this scenario. Go for single SP!!! Have a nice time. Bye MohanGandhi. Do I have to get it in a single SP or do I have to get all these details with different SPs . Which one will be the best way to do it. Which approach will give a gain in performance. Please let me know your views. Thanks Anandraj.A. View other groups in this category. Cheers, MohanGandhi. C Be a better Globetrotter. Get better travel answers from someone who knows.
