Basically we are looking for a framework for estimating cost of Software. I started exploring on it and found that most commonly used one is COCOMO - II model. and Use case points. I found Use case points approach to be very helpful in scheduling and finding approximate cost. But still how to give the details of points and how is it good that still exploring. Would like to know from people's experience which is good model and what all parameters need to be explored more or should be carefully estimated. If you can help me out it would be of gr8 help .
