First thing if you are using Windows XP Home, I dont know easy way of changing file permissions (I am looking into it). If you are using Windows XP Pro or Windows 2000 then its easy. 1. Open the Windows Explorer and choose Tools | Folder Options form the main menu. 2. Navigate to the View tab and scroll down in the Advance area. 3. Locate the entry Use simple file sharing (Recommended). UNCHECK this check box. 4. Click Ok to close the dialog. Now you should be able to the Security tab in the properties dialog box.
