----------------------------------------------------------- From: krisnss Message 3 in Discussion Hi, Running windows service under Local Syatem account doesnt mean that service is running under log-in account. LocalSytem is a predefined account in windows with certain previliges. If you try to get the username for this account, you may probably get NTAuthority ot NDAdministrator. If you really looking for your log-in account as service account, there are 2 ways to achieve this: 1) Runt the service under log-in account by selecting properties of the installed service -> select LogOn tab -> select "This account" radio button -> enter the credentials. 2) Impersonate the module with log-in account that calls ServiceController class. Hope this may help you, Krishna NSS ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
