Hi All,<o:p></o:p>
We are so new to Web Service Programming and we are developing the small
application using ASP.NET and SQL Server data. <o:p></o:p>
I wish to use the shared classes between Client and Server. Like I wish to
bind the input values into corresponding class and Pass it to Web method. And
some of the Web methods do return specified types that i have created in shared
library.<o:p></o:p>
I wish to know whether this approach is correct. <o:p></o:p>
I read some article in forum about the issues of Shared classes in Web
Services. I believe in BDOTNET group to know the solution.
Problem what we have faced :
1) Invalid cast exception : If we refer the same DLL at both places. (DLL
contains shared types/classes)
2) Ambiguous Reference : If I Introduce the shared types at Webservice and
try to access the types at client app (ASP.NET)
3) As client needs to know about the classes defined we are forced to
write some web methods to that will make us to use the types defined at Web
Serice.
<o:p> </o:p>
I need your valuable inputs on “How to design Web Service Application using
Shared Library?”. Links and suggestions are most welcome. Please reply in the
forum as well as mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hope to get the solution from large group
<o:p> </o:p>
