I'm finally getting this email out. I wanted to thank everyone for a fun June meeting. The discussion on good code was fabulous and went much longer than I anticipated. I also enjoyed the code review on Dan's SimpleDB Datamapper adapter library. Too bad we were running so late. I did post the slides from my 10 commandments of good Ruby code via twitter but I'll mention them here too.
http://martyhaught.com/articles/2009/06/18/10-commandments-of-good-ruby-code/ As you just saw from yesterday's email Chris Shea is moving to New York. Thanks for coming out to one last Boulder Ruby meeting and good luck in the Big Apple! I appreciate even when any of you can come out to just a meeting or two when you can. It's nice to see all the local Rubyists at least once or twice. Another bit of news is that I've registered a twitter account for Boulder Ruby at @boulderruby. I plan to post meeting reminders and any changes of plans there. Any other short updates will be found there too. Make sure you follow it if you're interested in the group. As for July I haven't scheduled any talks yet. Anyone interested in presenting anything? I might also request talks for August while I'm at it. Please contact me offlist if you're interested.
