Here's the next day reminder for our Boulder Ruby meeting on Tuesday May 18th (directions below). Joshua Timberman will be giving a talk on Data Driven Application Deployment with Chef. One of Chef’s design goals is to provide primitives for data driven infrastructure automation. Recently, Opscode released a cookbook that fits this goal, allowing operations teams to deploy applications purely from a JSON data specification of an application. This talk will take a detailed look at the cookbook and how it works to deploy a typical Rails application to fit into a web application infrastructure.
