We are a Denver based startup focused on accelerating
discovery within all facets of research related to Stem Cells, HIV, Vaccines,
Clinical Trials and more.  We need an
energetic Ruby on Rails programmer to assist a senior developer creating a 
cutting-edge,
cloud- based solution for the medical and scientific field in a startup
environment.  The candidate should have
3+ years experience and be capable of both working independently and with
guidance to achieve goals within a focused timeline and budget.  This exciting 
position will be working with
scientists at world renowned health care institutions to develop and implement
a best-in-class solution for global deployment. 
The position will last at least three months with the prospect of
continuing fulltime and earning stock options as the company grows.  Pay is 
based on experience.       

 

Requirements

 

* 3+ years of software development
experience, but if you're less experienced and have written some
incredible code, point us to it.

* At least one project in Ruby, preferably using Rails

* Run some flavor of *nix on your primary development
machine

* Basic understanding of Relational
Databases and SQL, ideally PostgreSQL

* Desire to learn, innovate and
contribute effectively to a small team- based project    

* Ability to handle and enjoy
start-up process 

 

Nice to Have Skills

 

* Deployed a Rails app on EC2 or the Rackspace Cloud

* PostgreSQL administration

* Linux system administration

* Configuration automation with Chef/Puppet

* HTML/CSS/Javascript/Ajax
