Hi All We are planning a *mini code retreat<http://minicoderetreat.eventbrite.com/> * on Tuesday Aug 30th evening - ahead of the *Rocky Mountain Ruby Conf<http://rockymtnruby.com/> * * * Unlike *the day long code retreat <http://coderetreat.com/facilitation.html> * with 6 or 7 sessions of paired programming, this event will be limited to an evening with 3 sessions.
The mini code retreat will be free for participants, and will be a practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. Over three iterations of 45 minute paired programming and 15 minute retrospection, we aim to provide the developers with an opportunity to practice the basic principles of software design, and improve their ability to write code that minimises the cost of change over time. The event will be hosted at Trada office in Downtown Boulder; Trada will be arranging for food and drinks at the event as well. The event is intended to be an opportunity for non-rubyists to work with rubyists.
