I have been rather quiet about Rocky Mountain Ruby on the list so far
but we're just weeks away and we've finally published all the details
on the conference. It's happening September 19th-21st in Boulder.
This is our third year running and again we're in the Boulder Theater,
which is a great venue for a single track conference. We're bringing
in an awesome collection of speakers covering both technical and
non-technical topics during our session days. We're also hosting a
day of charity workshop sessions that will let you hone your Ruby
skills as well as support our local charities. You can look over all
the details at our website:

Registration is open and tickets are $200 until September 1st. This
is a bargain for such a great experience. It's all about learning
more about Ruby, meeting other developers and having the conversations
that flow from all being together. Student discounts are available.

Our full schedule is published including our after events. This year
we've got our welcome reception hosted at Oak at 14th on Wednesday
night (19th). We've bought out the restaurant so we'll have full run
of the place. They're doing a pig roast for us as well as making a
special cocktail for the evening. Show up, get your badge and swag
then meet your fellow attendees all while enjoying the great food and
beverages. Following that there's a robotics hackfest put on by Quick
Left and Sparkfun with Ruby. To end off the night we've got a limited
space tequila and mescal tasting.

On Thursday after the sessions we've got Pivotal Labs hosting a
hackfest along with an optional brewery tour, including the chance to
ride that 18th person bike, My Handle Bar, around downtown to visit
the cool bars (Mountain Sun anyone?). On Friday we'll have our
Sanitas hike in the late afternoon and Quick Left will close out the
conference with the afterparty.

It should be a great time and I really hope to see all of you out here.

Cheers,
Marty
