Hi,

Distinction between 32 bit or 64 bit architectures are for x86 processors.

Here we have ARM processor. The TI AM3359 of the BBB is an Cortex-A8 so 32 
bit (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ARM_architecture#Cores)
For the ARM processor, the distinction is more on the hardware Floating 
Point Unit (ARMhf).
