Hmm uInitrd doesn't seem to do anything even though its specified in
uEnv.txt.

Anyway I followed this guide:
http://wiki.beyondlogic.org/index.php/BeagleBoneBlack_Building_Kernel

and copied kernel/arch/arm/boot/zImage to /boot/uboot on the flash card,
and it booted (uname -a confirms that its the new kernel)
