To set the nameserver that connman sets up you can do the following:

/usr/lib/connman/test/set-nameservers ethernet_c8a030bdcb7b_cable 8.8.8.8

note that ethernet_xxx above is the name of the connection you want to set 
the nameserver for. Do ls /var/lib/connman for the name of your particular 
connection.

the 8.8.8.8 i use is googles DNS.
