Or you can access the registered device thru: /sys/bus/i2c/devices/ root@beaglebone:~# hexdump -e '8/1 "%c"' /sys/bus/i2c/devices/0-0050/eeprom A335BNLT0A5A1513BBBK3949 (prints other random junk..)
