I know that systemd is not "officially" supported yet, but I am puzzled by the following error:

root@argus-dev:~# systemctl status systemd-modules-load.service
systemd-modules-load.service - Load Kernel Modules
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/systemd-modules-load.service; static)
Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Sat, 01 Jan 2000 01:12:01 +0000; 14 years and 0 months ago Process: 199 ExecStart=/lib/systemd/systemd-modules-load (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)
CGroup: name=systemd:/system/systemd-modules-load.service

root@argus-dev:~# /lib/systemd/systemd-modules-load
could not find module by name=''
Failed to insert 'loop': Function not implemented

HTH,

Dave.
