I'm trying to connect my BBB using the ethernet cable and Putty and I can't seem to get a connection. I can connect with USB, but not with ethernet. The board is connected with a 5V external source, the ethernet cable connected to a router and the PC to the same router.
This is the board info: root@beaglebone:~# uname -a Linux beaglebone 3.8.13 #1 SMP Wed Sep 4 09:09:32 CEST 2013 armv7l GNU/Linux --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- root@beaglebone:~# lsb_release –a Distributor ID: Angstrom Description: Angstrom GNU/Linux v2012.12 (Core edition) Release: v2012.12 Codename: Core edition ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- root@beaglebone:~# ifconfig eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr C8:A0:30:B2:02:FD UP BROADCAST MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:0 (0.0 B) TX bytes:0 (0.0 B) Interrupt:56 lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:65536 Metric:1 RX packets:36 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:36 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:2392 (2.3 KiB) TX bytes:2392 (2.3 KiB) usb0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr EA:D6:40:2A:E6:A0 inet addr:192.168.7.2 Bcast:192.168.7.3 Mask:255.255.255.252 UP BROADCAST RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:645 errors:0 dropped:9 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:445 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000 RX bytes:65593 (64.0 KiB) TX bytes:234995 (229.4 KiB) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have tried to type the command cd /usr/lib/connman/test./get-services No such file or directory I have the cd /usr/lib/connman/test/ (no period after test) Here are the contents: root@beaglebone:/usr/lib/connman/test# ls backtrace monitor-connman simple-agent connect-vpn monitor-services test-clock disable-tethering service-move-before test-compat disconnect-vpn set-domains test-connman enable-tethering set-global-timeservers test-counter get-global-timeservers set-ipv4-method test-manager get-proxy-autoconfig set-ipv6-method test-new-supplicant get-services set-nameservers test-session get-state set-proxy test-supplicant list-services show-introspection ----------------------------------------------------------- Can someone help me setting up the board?
