That ought to work, but you'll need a DVI cable as well since it's only 6 inches long.
I have used standard micro-hdmi to hdmi cables: 3 foot: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009W9RXVO/ref=ox_ya_os_product_refresh_T1 6 foot: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0060AU5MW/ref=ox_ya_os_product_refresh_T1 ...along with an HDMI to DVI adapter, similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Gold-Plated-Female-Video-Adaptor/dp/B004CHCLEU/ref=sr_1_1 ...but I haven't actually had to buy any yet, as I had about 6 lying around already.
