Guys, I am running a custom board based on the most revent BB white board. I use a micro SD card for storage. What is your opinion on doing a filesystem check of the first DOS partition on the SD card on bootup (i.e. specifying a check in /etc/fstab?). On my system I do not do that, but do have /etc/fstab configured to do an fsck on the root filesystem). My reason for this as I've had problems before doing an fsck on DOS partitions in terms of files getting modified and losing data. However, if we did get any filesystem problems on the DOS partition that would be a big problem right, as that's where we store the u-boot and kernel binaries.
Your thoughts? Fred ps : The BB has been an excellent resource, my custom board is running great overall. Very happy with it. -- For more options, visit http://beagleboard.org/discuss --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BeagleBoard" group.
