As this says, you need an appropriately configured SPL.

There are many existing pages, howtos, etc, that cover how to build a 
custom U-Boot.  You'll want to find those and build 'am335x_evm_usbspl' 
(SPL can only be so large and adding in USB and networking means needing to 
take some other things out, hence a separate build).
