I can now boot off the SD card -  needed to unmount the sdcard, modify the
/BOOT   (/dev/sdX1)  and sync(important) before putting back into the BBB.
This took me a little longer then expected, because I had a flaky carrier,
that kept flicking the write protect on every time I mounted the SD in my
laptop.
