Hi Robert, ================================ THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THAT HINT! ================================ :) The new kernel version and the hint from Acmesystems mailing list to explicitely set the XTALs clock frequencies in the dts file are the solutions for both problems -- the "running clock" and not being able to poweroff the board! Now the clock is "just *in* time" and poweroff powers off the board. GREAT! I am happy! Thank you VERY much!
