I will have a detailed study later as my first look here https://github.com/cdsteinkuehler/beaglebone-universal-io (your last link) got me worried. It says: " Usage Load the overlay as usual echo cape-universaln > /sys/devices/bone_capemgr.*/slots" ... but there is no specified above directory. Anyhow, don't worry. I will leave it till later.
