huh ... i guess i just never read closely enough to know about those options. so, regarding this: http://elinux.org/Beagleboard:U-boot_partitioning_layout_2.0#Boot_Partition_.28omap4.2B_.28am335x.29.29 as you say, the only real benefit to moving the MLO and u-boot.img outside of a partition is to keep people from accidentally wiping them out, is that it? other than that, there's no effective difference, correct? rday -- ======================================================================== Robert P.
