I hope this is not considered O/T. One reason I like BBB is that I have confidence it is well-designed and uses legitimate components from trusted sources.
Today I learned that a GSM-modem-containing module on KS, which I supported (with the expectation it would be 'done right'), has a run of GSM modems which all have identical IMEI and serial numbers! This is a clear violation of the gsma IMEI guidelines <http://www.gsma.com/newsroom/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/ts0660tacallocationprocessapproved.pdf> about such things and opens up a whole can of worms. My (hopefully relevant) point is that I am more than happy to support projects like BBB which hew to a higher standard than far too many crowd funded projects. -- For more options, visit http://beagleboard.org/discuss --- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "BeagleBoard" group.
