I am not sure on what distance you are looking for but I have had good success with USB wifi adapters utilizing the RT5370 chipset (in my application I need both access point mode as well as managed mode).
I have not used this device itself but have used without the external antenna http://www.amazon.com/Landlord-Portable-802-11NGB-Wireless-Converter/dp/B00Y1V566W/ref=sr_1_13?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1439823003&sr=1-13&keywords=usb+wifi+5370 One word of caution though, I have recently been caught out ordering RT5370 advertised devices to receive 7601 chipset devices - while I could get these to work in managed mode I have been unable to use them as an access point. ~C On Monday, August 17, 2015 at 4:33:53 AM UTC-5, [email protected] wrote: > > Don deJuan <[email protected] <javascript:>> wrote: > > On 08/16/2015 08:07 AM, [email protected] <javascript:> wrote: > > > Marcus Diogo <[email protected] <javascript:>> wrote: > > >> [-- text/plain, encoding quoted-printable, charset: UTF-8, 53 lines > --] > > >> > > >> In my house i use one external like nanostation > > >> https://www.ubnt.com/airmax/nanostationm/ just plug on ethernet bbb > > >> Em 16/08/2015 06:20, <[email protected] <javascript:>> escreveu: > > >> > > > I already use the similar TP-Link TL-WA7210G. > > > > > > However I have a specific requirement to use a USB adapter in this > > > application as I need to do the WiFi authentication in the host > > > computer not in the remote device. > > > > > alfa series cards will work fine > > > I've found:- > > http://www.alfa.com.tw/products_list.php?pc=2 > > Are these the ones you mean?
