I am trying to compile a patch for the c_can.ko and c_can_platform.ko kernel modules for the BeagleBone Black 3.8.13-bone30 kernel. We used this version a couple years ago to get started on our project and at this point are fairly committed to it.
The problem that I'm having is locating the 3.8.13-bone30 header files. The kernel image we used to install Debian on the BeagleBone only lists headers for 3.2 and 2.6. I've come across a few older links for the 3.8.13-bone30 headers, but those don't seem to work anymore. The closest I've come is trying the debs here: https://rcn-ee.net/repos/debian/pool/main/l/linux-upstream/. But they only run from bone64 to bone79. I was able to build the ko's using one of them, but got "Invalid module format" when I tried to install. My skills are pretty limited when it comes to compiling LKMs. I typically find the headers and build on the platform itself. Preferably using a deb install that sets everything up for me.
