Hello,

I want to add RS485 on UART4.

I found:
https://github.com/beagleboard/bb.org-overlays/blob/master/src/arm/BB-UART4-RS485-00A0.dts

But can“t compile the dts.
root@c0a80090:/home/user/bb.org-overlays/src/arm# dtc -O dtb -o
BB-UART4-RS485-00A0.dtbo -b 0 -@ BB-UART4-RS485-00A0.dts
Error: BB-UART4-RS485-00A0.dts:45.1-9 syntax error
FATAL ERROR: Unable to parse input tree

Can someone help me please?

My electrical designer tell me, he need a pin to set transmission
direction. Not sure if RTS/CTS are working.

But I read the BBB has a RS485 support?

My Linux Version:
Linux rsuarttest 3.8.13-bone63 #1 SMP Mon Aug 11 20:08:34 UTC 2014 armv7l
GNU/Linux

Thank you!
