I'm not ready yet, other things need to be finished first, but unless better recommendations and examples appear before I get to it, I plan on starting with the 3.8.13-bone70 kernel and Wheezy (7.8) used by Derek Malloy in his "Exploring Beaglebone" PRU examples; http://exploringbeaglebone.com/chapter13/#prettyPhoto
