I created a new SDcard from http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardUbuntu#Ubuntu_.28xenial.29. I am trying to activate I2C1 on this install. I had previously used ubuntu 14.04, but it looks like the method for loading overlays has changed. I can only find documentation relating to the old method. I read and followed the instructions in the new /boot/uEnv.txt, but had zero luck.
